The Wellington Hospital has long had an international reputation for the high standard of cardiac medicine delivered by its consultants, many of whom also have senior positions in London’s teaching hospitals and are at the peak of their careers.

One of the country's biggest teams of cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, cardiac radiologists and specialist nursing staff, is supported by the most modern diagnostic and imaging departments to be found anywhere in the UK.

With the superfast 64 slice CT scanner able to take the highest definition cardiac images available; with two of the latest MRI scanners and every imaginable x-ray and ultrasound machine, the cardiologist or surgeon can begin treatment faster than before. The Wellington has also just installed the latest Catheter Laboratories for its 30 strong team of cardiologists and the department also has its dedicated operating theatres and intensive care unit.
